“Since my youth, God, You have taught me,
and to this day I declare Your marvelous deeds.
Even when I am old and gray,
do not forsake me, my God,
till I declare Your power to the next generation,
Your mighty acts to all who are to come.” (Psalm 71:17-18)
Dearly Loved by Christ,
I hardly know where to begin this letter. So much has happened since I last wrote. As many of you know, my dear Frank went to be with Jesus on August 25, 2023. I can truly say of him what the Apostle Paul wrote, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.” (2 Timothy 4:7-8).
The scripture from Psalm 71 is one that was given to him by Terri Meier when he first began his battle with heart failure in 2017. From the time Terri gave it to him until just a day before he passed, he read those words and asked the Lord to let them be true of him. And they were. At his celebration of life, over 600 people testified in unison of Frank’s faithfulness to pray for them and to remind them, “Jesus loves you.” Frank finished well. Like he said, “I don’t have heart failure, I have heart challenge and someday I’ll have heart victory.” He truly did. In the hours before he passed, his heart pounded hard in his chest. Later that day, I asked the Lord why his heart was pounding so. I sensed the Lord saying this “Frank had the heart of a warrior, and warriors don’t quit.”
I share all of this with you because I, too, want to finish well. I want to continue this precious ministry to women, and I realize now more than ever what a sacred trust I have been given. Cross My Heart has been in service over 20 years now, and, God willing, it will continue to serve the Lord. Brown Bag continues to thrive and other ministry opportunities continue to present themselves. It is through your partnership of prayer and generosity that makes this possible. Thank you so much. I cannot wait to see where the Lord leads CMH this year. A new website is in place, a podcast is in the works, and our Brown Bag studies will be videoed. Go to our Facebook page, Cross My Heart Ministries, to see how you can connect with us.
Oh, and one other wonderful blessing, Amon Larry Reynolds made his appearance on October 30, 2023. Joy follows sorrow. Every. Time. His parents are Abi and Justin Reynolds. And his “Wawee” couldn’t be more thankful! (Check out his picture at the bottom of this post!)
As always, to LIVE is Christ,
Andrea
